Printer/Scanner September 10, 2010 C. Sheely (Mechanicsburg, PA) I got this printer because my old one is on its last legs. It was fairly easy to set up, although for me it wasn't quite as easy as some of the other reviewers found it. Probably my lack of techie skills. I haven't tried the scanner but it prints really well and copies well. The only downside, and it's not really an issue, is that it takes a minute or two until it actually starts printing after the doc is sent to the printer. Not a serious problem for me but my old Canon is much faster. I've printed pictures and they're very good. Not GREAT, but maybe once I hit on the right paper, it'll be better. I'm using the Kodak paper that I already have and as I said, the pictures are good. Don't be deceived though...it's NOT an all-in-one printer. There's no fax feature but I didn't want one so I DID get what I expected. If you want a printer that scans, copies AND faxes, find another one. I'm very partial to Canon and I really like this product a lot.
I'll never go back to a wired printer September 9, 2010 A. Campbell (San Diego, CA USA) I was a little hesitant to purchase a wireless printer because I was worried about a complicated setup and slower speed, but I couldn't be happier with this purchase.
Although the speed is a little slower than a wired printer, it's not much and once it's warmed up I don't even notice a difference.
The setup was as easy as putting the CD in my disc drive. I had no problems at all (I have a PC with Windows Vista).
I haven't needed to purchase ink for it yet, so I can't comment on the cost at this point. Keeping my fingers crossed on that one...
The print quality is fine along with the scanning and copying capabilities. The lid can be adjusted to fit a large book or magazine. I haven't printed any pictures, but that was not a consideration when buying the printer since I prefer to order my photos online.
Haven't received it yet September 8, 2010 Wed Sendaydiego (LOUISVILLE, KY, US) 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
I wouldn't know about the product, but the deivery date is passed. There is no new date for delivery. Poor shipping process. Stick to UPS.
Best Choice September 7, 2010 Robin L I've only had this printer a short period but I'm very impressed. It's really not an all in 1 printer because you can not fax. Have not tried wireless yet. Installed easy. My first print task was pics and I could not believe how good they were. Let the pics dry as instructed and they do not curl. Printer takes a bit to warm up when first turned on. Prints quickly after warm up. Scanner works good, I had a light copy and it picked up all detail. Only down fall for me, you have to pull out the paper tray from under where the paper comes out, so you can't see how much paper you have left, can jam tray when placing back.
Outstanding value for the money September 7, 2010 S. Robison (Frederick, MD) For the money, this printer is much more than I would have expected. It is a big plus to have separate ink cartridges. The setup was easy, the print quality is good and you can get 3rd party ink at a fraction of the price. In addition the printer has duplexing and wireless. What is not to like. The printer, scan and copy features all work well. Far exceeded my expectations.
